How to Use YouTube to Make Money with your Website or Blog

Video marketing on YouTube is a great way to make money and drive traffic to your website or blog. Creating a video puts a human element to our business. Your customers feel a greater connection to you because they can see your face and hear your voice. YouTube videos are easy to create (I will not be covering that here), and they are an excellent means of marketing your online business.
1.
Step 1

Create a YouTube video using a digital camcorder or your webcam. Make sure your video is a good quality and your content is useful, innovative in some way, and relevant to your niche business. YouTube accepts high-def videos, so if you have access to an HD video camera, use it.
2.
Step 2

Before you upload your video to YouTube, search for similar videos already posted to YouTube. In particular, you are looking for really popular videos in your niche.
3.
Step 3

Use the same tags for your video that the really popular video in your niche is using. You can find the tags any video on YouTube is using by clicking the "more info" link under the YouTube poster's name and the date the video was posted. You can find the YouTube poster's name to the right of the video in a gray box with a yellow "Subscribe" button. Copy the tags from the popular video and save them in notepad or some other text document.
4.
Step 4

Upload your video using the same tags for your video that your competitor used.
5.
Step 5

Use your embed code to post your video elsewhere on the web. Leveraging the power of a YouTube embed code is highly underused. Embed codes mean anyone can take your video and post it to their website. You actually want this to happen because it is more exposure for you. Some places you can post your video on the web include Facebook, WonderHowTo, FlixYa, Spike, MySpace and the like.
6.
Step 6

Make money when other people embed your videos. When your channel on YouTube becomes popular enough, you can become a partner with YouTube. Once you are a partner, anytime someone embeds your video on their site, you make money off the Google AdSense Ads that appear next to your video on that persons blog or website! You need to have at least 500 subscribers to your channel before applying to be a YouTube partner.
7.
Step 7

Finally, search ning.com for a community related to your niche. Get involved in the community and post your video to the appropriate communities. Your video will make the front page of the Ning Community when you post it.
